Mekhi Brown, born and raised in Philadelphia, spent much of his free time in front of a television screen, where he developed his love and passion for storytelling. After graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps, serving with honor and traveling the country for the first time. It was during his enlistment, while stationed in California, that Mekhi first discovered his passion for acting. As that passion grew, a new challenge emerged: learning how to balance the demands of military service with his increasing creative aspirations. Through that experience, he developed discipline, resilience, and an understanding of the importance of chasing your dreams. After completing his service and finishing his training at the Actors Studio of Orange County, Mekhi continued his training in Philadelphia at Playhouse West under the tutelage of Tony Savant. There, he continued to hone his craft, developing the ability to bring his authentic self and a surprising versatility to every role. His work has grown to include Where Do Black Men Live, a Philadelphia story, and Clout, directed by up-and-coming filmmaker Lachlan McClellan.Mekhi strives to make every role better than his last, continually pushing himself creatively, embodying characters vastly different from his own personality, and delivering performances that resonate with audiences. His goal in the entertainment industry is simple: to be the actor everyone wants to work with. He prides himself on his professionalism, reliability, and dedication to every role, both on set and off.At his core, Mekhi is a kid from Philadelphia who dreamed bigger than the neighborhood he grew up in. He hopes his journey can inspire others to chase their own dreams, even when those dreams seem bigger than the stars in the sky.
